IAbout the Work

One leaf, seven layers

The works of Jan Hendrix, born in the Netherlands and at home in Mexico City, are often monumental, on façades and in architecture. For the Edition 17.0 he worked on a small scale.

The veins of a ginkgo leaf are printed in platinum on seven layers of clear float glass. The layers are laminated into a single block.

In the light of the Wunderkammer: the veins cast their shadow on the table.
